Illustrative Exploration
Exploration has always played a massive role in my sketchbooks. When I was a child, I loved tracing characters off VHS’s and teaching myself how to create the scenes that I adored. In my spare time, I still thoroughly enjoy researching new styles of illustration. I find it incredibly important to find inspiration in the world around us and in the artists that continue to make it more beautiful. By finding inspiration every day in other artists and the world we share, I challenge myself to explore new aesthetics and techniques. These are some results.
Buzz Weekly Magazine
As Art Director of Buzz Weekly Magazine, a student-run weekly publication, I held the responsibility of managing the consistency of the magazine's aesthetic by overseeing designers' work. Simultaneously, I was on a rotation to design covers for the magazine. As a prompt, I would be given a headline with a subhead and brief a synopsis of that featured article. Creativity ensued.
