The Happy Planner

From June 2018 until February 2020, I was the Graphic Designer for the Marketing Department of Me and My BIG Ideas, creators of the Happy Planner. While working with the Social Media Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and E-Commerce Team, I held responsibility for designing mostly digital and some physical content for their social mediaemail campaigns, website, retail partners, events, and more.

2020 Spring Collection

Every spring, me & my BIG ideas launches its 18-Month Happy Planner collection, as well as new stickers, accessories, and more. This year, the 2020 Spring Release was one of their largest launches to date -- releasing well over 300 new products. With so many new products, a challenge arose. How will we showcase as many items as possible without becoming too overwhelming for the customer?

To showcase the products, the E-Commerce Team and I created a landing page for customers to preview all of the products, now separated by sub-collections. The email and social media ads pulled from the color scheme on this page, where each grouping had a color of the pastel rainbow. Then to compliment the landing page and to vibe with the growing trend in retro + pastel rainbows, I chose to use artwork from the new Classic Happy Notes™ - Pastel Rainbow for the primary graphic for the launch.

Ready… Set… GOALS!

In December 2019, me & my BIG ideas introduced a new Happy Planner line of products: Ready... Set... GOALS! With the intent to help users kickstart their 2020 Resolutions, the collection featured categories from Budget, Digital Detox, Faith, Foodie, Fitness, Wellness, to just Everyday goals.

For this campaign, the Marketing department started with an email in early December, introducing the collections that lead to a landing page that featured each line. Then, leading up to the New Year, with the intent to remind and encourage customers to purchase from the collections that would help them with their goals, we sent out four emails featuring the Budget, Faith, Wellness + Fitness, and Everyday Collections.

Semi-Annual Clearance Event

Taking inspiration from brands with youthful and colorful yet still held plenty of sophisticated styles such as Kate Spade and ban.do, I worked closely with the E-Commerce Team to create a set of emails, a website banner, online advertisements, and social media graphics.
